About SHIFT

Clinical expertise.
Human connection.

SHIFT was founded on a simple belief: people with respiratory conditions deserve expert care that meets them where they are โ€” at home, on their terms, without the impersonality of a clinical setting.

Every visit is conducted by a licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner with extensive experience across acute, post-acute, and home-based settings. That clinical depth is paired with the patience only possible when you're not rushing to the next appointment.

SHIFT is not a home health agency. It is a private, concierge practice built for clients who want more time, more expertise, and more personal attention than the traditional system provides.

Patients & Families

For individuals managing chronic lung conditions, recovering from illness, or struggling with respiratory equipment โ€” and the families supporting them.

Physicians & Care Teams

SHIFT serves as a trusted extension of your practice โ€” providing in-home respiratory support, patient education, and clinical follow-through between visits.

What Clients Say

Care that makes a
real difference.

โ˜…โ˜…โ˜…โ˜…โ˜…

Having someone come to the house who actually knew what they were talking about โ€” and had time to explain everything โ€” was unlike anything we'd experienced in the healthcare system.

My CPAP had been sitting in the closet for two years. One visit and I actually understand how to use it. I sleep through the night now.

I refer patients to SHIFT because I know they'll receive the kind of attentive, expert respiratory care I simply can't provide between office visits.

FAQ

Everything you need
to know.

Is SHIFT covered by insurance?

SHIFT is a private-pay service and does not bill insurance directly. Many clients use HSA/FSA accounts, and we can provide documentation to support reimbursement requests.

What areas do you serve?

We currently serve the Greater Los Angeles area. Reach out if you're unsure about your location โ€” we'll do our best to accommodate or provide a referral.

How is SHIFT different from home health?

Traditional home health is insurance-driven and visit-limited. SHIFT is a private concierge practice โ€” visits are longer, more personalized, and focused entirely on you.

Do I need a physician referral?

No referral is required. However, we communicate findings back to your care team when appropriate and with your consent.

What conditions do you support?

COPD, asthma, pulmonary fibrosis, bronchiectasis, post-COVID symptoms, sleep apnea, and recovery from respiratory illness or hospitalization.

Can I use my HSA or FSA?

Yes. Respiratory therapy services are generally HSA/FSA eligible. We provide itemized documentation to support any claims.

How long are visits?

The initial intake is 75โ€“90 minutes. Follow-up visits are typically 45โ€“60 minutes depending on the service.

Can SHIFT respond to emergencies?

SHIFT is a non-emergency service. We do not diagnose, prescribe, or respond to emergencies. In a medical emergency, please call 911.
